Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9, 1976, from Beaumont Puy de Domme. Her parents were dentists and teacher recognized and supported her love of acting and theatre at an early age, which was more important than a desire to become a primatologist thanks to her fascination with monkeys. The rise was swift for her to be an internationally renowned young actress. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou participated in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was a member of the church as well as the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she now dissociates herself from these upbringings. Apart from her acting work, she was also interested in modelling. The model was in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". Alongside her acting profession she also has an interest in photography. She recently exhibited some images in the Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity and popularity. Also, it features portraits of herself and particular focus on the media that has scrutinised Tautou since her meteoric success following Amelie. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her first role in Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a film box office successes and was recognized at award ceremonies all over the world. It is the top-grossing French film in America. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in numerous film productions ranging that ranged from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
