Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The kids were asleep in their cribs and I was strapped to a baby on my back. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to come together but there was still a long way to go. It would take time, money and of course my favourite shopping experience for furniture to decorate this home. In order to stay in my budget, I took my boys with me to look for treasures in estate sales. Our routine for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage sales, buying old and new pieces and then I would spend weekends painting and sanding the driveway. It was kind of similar to the following... Here is the place where my passion for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. After our home was fully furnished, I still couldn't stop! On the streets I was able to rent a tiny space and sold some pieces. I was able to outgrow the market because I had numerous pieces I could use. At home, I would host open houses in which more than 1000 guests could visit to purchase anything they wanted from the first floor in just one weekend. My business Growing Days began here. The business I was running was growing and my family was also expanding. Finding the balance was important for me. I wished to be both a mom and also a successful business owner. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. Nora came into our lives in 2013 and became our fourth baby. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I had to get some down time. I decided to quit doing work on my furniture for a while and spend time with my children. That was exactly what I was looking for at the moment. After a couple of months, the phone began to ring. A lot of people contacted me to ask for advice about home improvement or decorating. They had mainly visited my house at the open houses to purchase furniture. I began to take on clients at a time going at my own pace however it wasn't long before I had several accounts, and I was operating an entire home improvement business. You would probably have made me laugh if you had said that it would be the foundation of an DIY Network tv series. Actually I still kind of laugh when I think about the idea.
